The planning for Brett’s Blogathon is going well. Here are a few takes about the planning.
I’m working on taking pictures for the food entries. There are a couple entries I’ll be writing where I blog on a recipe. Given that I can’t really cook that day, I’m doing the Pioneer Woman thing and taking pictures of the steps. Other than grating the knuckle of my thumb while making boxty, it’s been pretty fun. Ohh… I also have to come up with a cool nickname because “PW” and “P’s W” are taken.
I haven’t come up with sponsor incentives yet. Usually, I have some kind of fun incentives for sponsors like mini tattoos, a drawing for a cool prize, or something cool. I need to find something to give away or to send to the best sponsors. Any ideas, given that I’m on a Dollar Store budget?
I need some graphics help. I need to either ask Reece’s Rainbow to make me a graphic or I need to get pictures from them so I can have some of my image-savvy friends to make me some buttons.
I need to have one of my image-savvy friends make me a header. OK… I do have Photoshop Elements and I could learn how to use it but I’m also having a really hard time getting stuff uploaded on this blog. I’d yell at the owner of the domain… but that’s me. Rats! I need to figure out how to work around this.
I’m in the middle of coming up with a topic list and posting schedule. I’ve learned from past blogathons that these two are a must. It comes in handy at 4 a.m. when I’m running on vapors and can’t think of anything to say. I’m hoping that I have enough topics. If not, I’ll be putting out a request for topics.
I’d love any topic ideas you might have that start with “B”. Leave me any ideas in the comments. If it’s obscure, leave me some ideas on what I can write.
I’m trying to find ways of publicizing this. If you have any suggestions, leave me gratuitous commentage. I was going to put something on Craigslist, something on KLOVE, see if I could call in any press favors that my husband has, etc.

B….well, if you don’t need disability-related B words, there’s bratwurst, beer, beer barrel polka, Beatitudes, brunch, beads, bedtime, Beethoven, (Brahms, Bach, Bruckner), big top….how was that? Anything useful in there?
