Here are some updates on Brett’s Blogathon 2012.
A reminder of the date and time. We’re going from 7 a.m. PDT on July 27th to 7 a.m. PDT on July 28th. The place: this exact URL.
Spare change challenge. I’m issuing a spare change challenge in which people gather their spare change from July 1st to July 31st and make a donation to Brett’s adoption account. This might be less than $10 for people like me who live off of their debit cards but hey… it’s something! Leave me a comment if you plan to do this.
I am giving up eating out for all of July (except for Ladies’ Night Out for church) and going to donate the funds from that to Brett’s account. This is sacrificial for me and could add up to something substantial.
I’m gathering links and pictures for posts. One of my topics is “beer” and as my brother is an amateur brewer, I’m hopefully going to be able to get pictures from him of the process. Other things being gathered are YouTube videos, links, and the relevant pictures. I have not ceased to be amazed at how many things start with B that I can relate to other things.
My babysitting for the morning of the 28th (so I can sleep after being up for more than 24 hours) just fell through. Please pray that I can find someone to watch Daniel so I can sleep a little bit. Jon is committed all day so he’s not an option. I might be having a parishioner watch him but she might be having to help paint the social hall at church so it’s apparently not a guarantee.
I’m trying to come up with sponsor incentives. So far, I have the thought of having a drawing for an Amazon.Com gift card for $20.12 or for a couple iTunes gift cards. Any other thoughts?
