Bought: July 2000

Hosted: DreamHost, then Warped, and right now Cyberpixels.

Credits: Picture of the sunrise is from Freefoto.Com and altered using MS Paint. Coded using Notepad and Evrsoft 1st Page 2000. The hymn on the splash page is from the Lutheran Book of Worship.

Theme: This is my Easter theme. As the empty tomb was discovered at sunrise on Sunday morning, the picture is a sunrise. The Easter colors are white and gold, so the background is a muted yellow. The other colors were meant to be coordinated with the picture.

Names: "Peaceful waters" comes from Psalm 23:2. I chose it because I love Psalm 23 and I wanted something natural-sounding. "Christos aneste" is Greek for "Christ is risen" and comes from the version of the "Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostum" that I did with my Koine Greek class. "Daughter of Eve" comes from the Chronicles of Narnia and is used to describe human females. "The Light on the Hill" is the name of a song by Maire Brennan and refers to the conversion of Ireland between the 5th and 7th centuries. "Colophon" refers to an inscription placed usually at the end of a book, giving facts about its publication. "Kindred Spirits" comes from Anne of Green Gables and is comprised of sites that I read or go to frequently. "Domesticated" comes from its subject of the domestic arts.
